I started working at a large office furniture dealer in 1980 at age 18 installing office cubicles and delivering furniture. That dealer had a repair shop and started teaching me furniture repair and refinishing. In 1987, I moved to another dealer and operated the service department for the next 16 years, training and managing several people. During this time, I was honing my furniture repair skills and learning new methods. The generous owner allowed me to do side projects in the shop, furthering my experience.

In 2003, I started Dave Fisher Restoration. Since then, I have continued to improve my skills and knowledge by doing research and working with experienced craftsmen.

My mission is to restore fine furniture and wood work per the customer’s requests while respecting the original furniture maker. I will do everything I know to retain and enhance the appearance and value of your precious furniture or clock items.
